Oberon, the king of fairies. He is an envious and conceited type of character in "A Midsummer Night's Dream." He is in love with the queen of fairies, Titania, but she does not love him anymore. Therefore, Oberon makes up a plan for Puck to get a flower potion so he could put it on Titania's eyes, to make her fall in love again. He also wants to get his Indian boy and the only way to do that is to trick Titania with the flower potion.
This is when all the comotion happens. Since Oberon saw Helena and Demetrius fighting in the woods, he wants to make everybody happy. Helena is so deeply in love with Demetrius but Demetrius does not feel the same way about her. So Oberon makes up another plan with that same flower potion. He then asked Puck to do his plan in action with the potion. After he realized that Puck made a mistake and tried to fix it by getting Puck to gather all the characters back together.
