Perspectives on the other characters

Lysander- I think Lysander is a gentlemen and is deeply in love with Hermia and not only for her looks. I found it funny when Puck put the flower potion on Lysanders eyes because he made really mean comments about Hermia, so that just tells us that the flower potion was really strong.

Helena- I think Helena always puts herself down and always thinks she is ugly because nobody loves her. She can get annoying at times because she keeps on saying how she isn't as "fair" (pretty) as Hermia

Demetrius- A very handsome man, as everybody says. But throughout the play I found out that he isn't that nice. I think he should of gave Helena a chance because he knew that Hermia did not like him. He just looks at the beauty of the women, which isn't right and I think he could of been nicer to Helena

Nick Bottom- Bottom is a very interesting character but can be a show off. He wants to be every character in the play that they were making and he thinks he is an excellent actor. It was a coincidence that he got turned into an ass of a donkey because he can act like an ass. But overall i think he is funny, but he needs to learn how to share roles and not talk about how great he is.

Puck

Puck is one crucial character in "A Midsummer Night's Dream." His real name is Robin Goodfellow, but everybody calls him Puck. He thinks he is an entertainer and claims that he is Oberon's perfessional jester. He is a smart minded, dishonest fairy. At times he is very tricky and mysterious, sometimes too tricky that he scares the women in the village.

Throughout the play, Puck made some really bad mistakes. Oberon told him to put flower potion on Demetrius' eyes so he will dall in love with Helena. Instead Puck put it on Lysanders' eyes and screwed everything up. It was a tiny mistake but so much revolved around it. It turned out to be a big mess and it screwed up Lysander's and Hermia's relationship since Lysander was in love with Helena because that's what the potion did to him. At the end, Puck fixed his mistake by gathering all the lovers and putting the flower potion ob tge appropriate characters eyes to reverse the situation.

Oberon

Oberon, the king of fairies. He is an envious and conceited type of character in "A Midsummer Night's Dream." He is in love with the queen of fairies, Titania, but she does not love him anymore. Therefore, Oberon makes up a plan for Puck to get a flower potion so he could put it on Titania's eyes, to make her fall in love again. He also wants to get his Indian boy and the only way to do that is to trick Titania with the flower potion.

This is when all the comotion happens. Since Oberon saw Helena and Demetrius fighting in the woods, he wants to make everybody happy. Helena is so deeply in love with Demetrius but Demetrius does not feel the same way about her. So Oberon makes up another plan with that same flower potion. He then asked Puck to do his plan in action with the potion. After he realized that Puck made a mistake and tried to fix it by getting Puck to gather all the characters back together

Introduction

"A Midsummer Night's Dream" by William Shakespeare. A comedy play about two lovers that can'y get married and turned out to be a big conflict between the different characters. The fairies played a big role in this novel because of the distributing the love potion to the wrong characters. From the plan of the king of the fairies, Oberon, which was executed improperly. Throughout the play, there was many different events happening and many mistakes, but overall they all over came it and it became a happy ending for everybody.

In the next two entries, I will explain about two main characters in this novel. It will explain how they started the conflict and how they fixed it. I believe these two fairies are very important and if they were not in the play, none of the mistakes or crucial events would of happened. Also the lovers would not have been happy at the end if it wasn't for these two characters in "A Midsummer Night's Dream." Finally, I will explain some of the other characters and what I thought about them throughout this novel.
